Prediction: AI Governance Becomes a Basic Expectation 

The rapid adoption of agentic AI, personal AI assistants, automation and embedded intelligence across enterprise systems forces organisations to confront something fundamental: AI is no longer experimental therefore it must be governed. 

By 2026, enterprises will shift from ad-hoc guardrails to structured, enforceable frameworks that address: 

  • transparency 

  • explainability 

  • bias 

  • data lineage 

  • model ownership 

  • auditability 

  • user accountability 

  • operational risk 

  • security protocols 

 

Those who treat governance seriously gain trust. Those who cut corners get caught out early.
